THOUGHTS:  THE OCEAN AND THE LAND
October 28, 2020 by Jay Tyson

Picture
The religions of humankind can be regarded as the continents.
They are separated by oceans of misunderstanding and sometimes even by warfare.
In a few places, they are connected, but generally they are widely separated.
And yet, we tend to forget that the land beneath each continent is fully connected to the land below the oceans, and thus to the other continents.  In the final analysis, the continents are all connected—they are all one—although those who look only at the surface may not understand this.
So it is with the religions of humankind.  On the deeper levels, they are all one.
In the modern world, we now cross the vast oceans in ships and jet planes with ease.  Let us hope that more and more people will become able to cross the oceans of the misunderstanding between the religions with equal ease.
