2018 La Convivencia’s First Annual Social Justice & Interfaith Leadership Conference
STAND UP TOGETHER: THE POWER OF WE
La Convivencia’s first Social Justice and Interfaith Leadership Conference, was held on March 11, 2018 to raise awareness for acceptance, social justice, community service, and interfaith dialogue. Commencing with a brilliant keynote by Princeton professor Ruha Benjamin, the conference sessions featured a youth workshop, and sessions by clergy, educators, police chiefs, community activists, storytellers, musicians, professors, scholars. The conference closed with a rousing keynote by Dr. Patricia Fernandez- Kelly, a Princeton professor and Chair of LALDEF.
Thank you to all of those who came to the conference!  Special thanks to our esteemed speakers for their awesome presentations and thought-provoking discussions! La Convivencia knows that we can make a change when we come together.  And
“we will rise up Together publicly to promote peace, respect and social justice in all of our communities”!          #coexistlaconvivencia
