The La Convivencia Youth Council's first online dialogue will be held via Zoom on Sunday, August 9th at 3 p.m.
The event will feature speaker Sara Froehlke, a youth leader at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. The dialogue will center the role of community and the importance of community service during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as personal wellness, as students prepare to return to new school environments in person and online. Sara Froehlke is currently a graduate student at Rutgers University. She is getting her Masters of Social Work with a clinical concentration. Sara got her B.S. in Psychology at Saint Joseph's University. Sara is passionate about social justice and has worked with interfaith communities to help immigrants and refugees.

At La Convivencia, youth participate in a variety of ways to get involved in their communities. Through planning and conducting service projects such as annual Holiday Day of Service, running personal care items drive, etc., they learn and practice the importanceof the shared value of service rooted in all faiths and cultures.

A day of dialogue, sharing and conversation concerning the most recent occurrences in our community and world. In addition, youth learn about each other's religions and cultures by a series of moderated discussions and visiting different houses of worships and cultural centers.
