Making a Difference
Together!

 ENGAGE...EMPOWER...LEAD

Bringing youth to the table to discuss social issues to spark a change in the community!
A platform for youth to learn and connect with each other on current events, social justice, community service, and personal experiences. Plan events and projects centering youth action and youth voices.

The La Convivencia Youth Council's first online dialogue will be held via Zoom on Sunday, August 9th at 3 p.m.
The event will feature speaker Sara Froehlke, a youth leader  at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. The dialogue will center the role of community and the importance of community service during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as personal wellness, as students prepare to return to new school environments in person and online. Join the Youth Council for an interactive discussion for youth organized by their peers.

A Day of  Dialogue

Picture
At La Convivencia, youth participate in a variety of ways to get involved in their communities. Through planning and conducting service projects such as annual Holiday Day of Service, running personal care items drive, etc., they learn and practice the importanceof the shared value of service rooted in all faiths and cultures.
A day of dialogue, sharing and conversation concerning the most recent occurrences in our community and world. In addition, youth learn about each other's religions and cultures by a series of moderated discussions and visiting different houses of worships and cultural centers.
